Body Art by Gesine Marwedel
German artist prefers to work in two directions. She paints oil paintings and draws on the people using them as canvases.
Gesine Marwedel was born in a small town Ekernford, but grew up in Dortmund, where she first got acquainted with the painting. Having left school in 2005, Gesine gone for a year as a volunteer to India, where she helped the street children and orphans. This predetermined her future education – she is a physician. While in India, Gesine met with the skill of painting with henna. The Indians have centuries of experience in drawing on the body. Despite the relatively good level of works for her art in all its forms, remains a hobby.
